GENERAL MAHON HONOURED

LONDON, May 12. General Bryan Malum lias been, created a Knight Commander of the Bath.
A recent cable message stated:— General Mahon, at a meeting of soldiers and sailors in Dublin, announced his resignation of the Irish command. The '"Daily Chronicle" attributes the resignation to the situation arising from conscription, and says:—"His removal lenders the Irish storm cloud appreciably blacker."
