THE LATE MR J. O'HALLORAN
The funeral of the late Mr J. O'Halloran, which took place yesterday morning, was a very largely attended, a long procession or motor-cars following the hearse from the Glentui Homestead to the Roman Catholic Church at Loburri. Requiem Mass was said by the Very Rev. Dean Hyland, assisted by the Rev ; Father O'Boyle, and tho obsequies enaed with the interment in the burial ground adjoining tho church. The attendance at tho funeral was largely composed of those connected with tiic various organisation to which Mr O'Halloran belonged, of members of the Oxford, Loburn, and Rangiora Church congregations, and of other personal friends, who gathered from far and near to pay a last tribute of respect to his memory. The Oxford County Council, Farmers' Union, Agricultural and Pastoral Assqciation, "Waimakariri-Asliley Water Supply Board, and Ashley County Council were fully represented. Mr F. H. Labatt represented the Sheepfarmers' Union, and Messrs N. L. Macbeth, D. ,T. Shane, and S'. GTbbs tho Canterbury Frozen Meat Company. The bearers were Messrs J. McGrath (president 01* the Oxford Agricultural and Pastoral Association), J. T. Perban, F..Howard, and J. Joyce.
