NEW ZEALAND GIRLS.

to THE EDITOR OV "TUB FBESS "

Sir, —After reading the report in your paper this morning of the meeting held to protest against the alleged remarks, made by Mr Holland at _ a. meeting held in Abmerley; I feel quite ashamed of tho way these women., ajw exhibiting their, ignrance", and bringing the name of our city in the mud. 1 am sure had we the necessary material, and shipping available, our girls of the Dominion would be as loyal as any other country, in making munitions or anything else needed, to help win the war. It is not fair to the majority, for a few agitators to slur at our girls as they are doing. 1 often wonder "Bow much, these same ones aro doing <:r giving themselves. . These last few. weeks, the disgraceful scenes that have happened here will not add to. the cheer of our boys at the front, if they hear of them. For tliey aro laying down their lives to' uphold the tradition of our Empire, and are helping these same agitators to be well fed and clad, to cause these uprisings in our city. In conclusion I fee! it my duty to say. I think all able-bodied. Second Division men are better able and have more to fight for and protect, than my son of 20 years. Hoping you will find room for this, and thanking you in anticipation.—Yours, etc.,

LOYAL CHRISTCH tJRCH MOTHER May 7th.
