TERMS OF PEACE TREATY

AMSTERDAM, May 8. The peace treaty with Roumania comprises eight charters. The first deals with the re-establishment of peace and friendship, the sccond with the reestablishment of diplomatic relations, the third with Roumanian demobilisation, which, provides, inter alia, for the cohtiniied existence of the Roumanian military bureau, supreme authorities, and. military institutions, lnlt otherwise complete demobilisation, except of two divisions in Bessarabia, which remain till the danger from Austrian and German operations in Ukraine ceases.

Tho Roumanian peace treaty provides that all guns and war material shall be held by the Central Powers ilbtil A general poace, and shall bp guarded by Roumanian troops Undor the supervision of the Central Powers' Chief Colnmander.

A composed of representatives of tho Central Powers will demarcate tho new frontier of Roumania, and will cede to the Allied Powers intcrosted that portion of the Dobrudja between the confluence of the Danube with tho Black Sea to St. George's branch of the river. The Danube frontier between the territory ceded to the Alliod Powers and Roumania Will lie fottned by tho river valley.

The Allied Powers undertake' to assure Roumania of a trade rout© to the Black Sea vi/i CherttavOda and Constanza.

Roumania agroes that her frontiers shall be" rectified in favour of AustriaHungary.

State property in the ceded regions of Roumania passes without indemnificcation of the acquiring States.

The evacuation of occupied Roumanian territory to bo effected at a time to be derided later.

Tho strength of the occupying armies apart from troops employed in economic management, must not exeped six divisions.

The railway, and post and telegraphic services for the present will remain under military administration.

The Roumanian Courts will resume jurisdiction, but the Alliod Powers retain jurisdiction and police supervision over the occupying tr.cops.

The occupying army may requisition corn, fodder, wool, cattle, timber, oil

and oil products, always with a proper regard for an orderly plan for securing these Commodities and satisfying the needs of the Roumanian population.

Provision irill be made for refunding money spont by the Allied Powers on phblic works, including industrial undertakings.

From tho time of the ratification of the peace treaty onwards Roumania will pay for the maintenance of tho army of occupation.
