' Sir Charles Santley celebrated liis 84th birthday oil February 23th very quietly at home. He is still a marvel in vigour,'and, happiiy, he is passing on his well-tested methods of singing to pupils. One recalls .a concert in the Albert Hall whereat Sir Charles Santley, Mme. Patti last month), and Alme. Albani, sang not so very long . ago with a superb power that made voutut sinews envious.
