BOROUGH COUNCILS.
SPREYDON. A meeting of the Sproydon- Borough Coimcil was held last night. Present—The Mayor (Mr W. H. Winsor) and Crg. E. O'Rourke, D. Williamson, G. H. Rudd, A. ■ E. Brewer, W. E. Gahagan, and J. P. j Diack. The Financc Committee reported that ro- ! ceipta since last meeting had amounied to ' £1081 13s sd. Cr. Williamson had been I unanimously elected chairman of the committee© (or another term. The committee . recommended tho adoption of the New ~Zca- ! land Educational Institute's resolution regarding improvements and extension in TsoaZoaland's education system, and that the Council adopt the Domain Board's levy ior the current year of i'CO. The Works Committee reported that Cr. Clark had been elected chairman of tho committee ior the ensuing six months. They recommended the placing of £10 or. the year's rstimutcs as a contribution to tho Technical College. Tho- reports were adopted.
