ROLLESTOX. Threshing is about finished in this district. The yields have been very disappointing, especially with the solid s-traw Tuscan variety, crops from 8 to 25 being about the average- Oats has been very poor also this season, suffering either from blight or rust. In spite of three bad years there is a considerable area being sown in wheat. Potato crops are turning out ffiir, some plots being pretty free from blight, while others arc badly affected. There are a few good crops of turnips, but the area is small. There is a fair amount ol feed, but if we have a hard winter it will be scarce l>efore tho spring. Red clover crops have been reaped and stacked, and are waiting for the sheller, but it would be hard to forecast the yield this year. AIvAKOA. An election for the return oi' ilivee members to the Akaroa-Wainui lioad Bourd was held on Monday. There were four candidate.-,, thrro oi them being former member.-.
