The nominee or deputy shall resign from the appointment on the absentee's return if called upon to do so, and on being requested by the absentee shall refuse to accept reappointment. Subject to any agrooment to the contrary between the absentee and the nominee the maximum fee which shall bo charged for audit work shall bo 50 per cent., and for secretarial work G6 2-3 rd per cent, of tho gross fee earned, and shall be paid upon receipt to the person nominated for that purpose by the absentee or handed to the committee appointed herein, to be held in trust for the .absentee. Wliero an appointment necessitates travelling, the gross lee shall mean tho amount received, less travelling expenses. In the event of tho death of the absentee, or lus inability through disablement to resume practice, the goodwill of an appointment shall be the continuance of a percentage of not less than that arranged for a poriod of three years after the dato of death, and such goodwill shall bo payable by the holder of tho appointment for tho timo being during such term. The committos appointed, consists of the local committee of the society for the time being, with the addition of Messrs G. C. Gorrio and G. M. Morris, or such other persons as may be appointed from time to time at a general meeting of public accountants, and this committee shall act as an advisory board to settle all matters arising in connexion with this scheme, and to act in the best interests of the absentee or his dependants in connexion with anv natters which may arise after his departure.
