RACING AND TROTTING NOTES. (BY 'Xooker-OK.") At Iticcarton, yesterday morning, all fast work was done on the outside of tlie trial grass, which was in great condition for galloping, but was not fast. Adjutant, with the assistance of Brambletye over the last six furlongs, was all out at the end of a milo, run in Imin 40 1-otli sec, which was a rather disappointing effort. Silver and Black had no difficulty in beating Tokorahi over tiro furlongs.run in Imm (> 2-oth sec, a distance that Gamecock covered immediately after in lmin 3 4-oth sec. The Chokcbore horso was carrying considerably more weight than he will have up in Ashburton. Kaminohc ran six furlongs in lmin 20 4-sth sec, and appeared to be doing his best, while Bore, who got about three lengths advantage at tho start, finished a length ahead of Majestikoff at the end of a milo. Majestikoff's time was lmin 4-G 3-oth sec. Art and Banian ran out a mile together in lmin £1 2-sth sec. Both jumpers finished well. Jeannofc (F. Ellis) was schooled over tiro flights of hurdles, and jumped much better than he did last week. Afterwards he was given plenty of trotting exercise Spangle had Sir Hamilton as a companion in a working gallop. The last six furlongs took lmin 25 1-oth sec. Tremens rattled over five furlongs up tho back in lmin 3 4-oth soc, which was smart, and her stabiemate, Braid, ran down four furlongs inso4-sth sec. Both gallops wero above the average. All Pink finished with 3>aytime at tho end of live furlongs, run iu lmin G 2-sth yec. Then Rosevear and Tip Up sprinted half a milo in 51 3-sth soc. Fleet-ham was as good as Pvjama in a sprint over five furiongs up the back, the last four furlongs taking 51 3-sth sec. J3on_ Spec o-allopod five furlongs in lmin 5 4-sth sec, and Gay Lad covered four in 52 2-oth sec. There was little to choose between Jingo and Furling at the end of balfa mile, run m 01 4-oth sec, while Donnata dashed over the same ground in 49 4-oth sec. General Petain, Xaupata, and Vascular finished together at the end of seven furlongs, run in lmin 34 3-6thsec. All of them were ridden out. Achilledcs ran the last seven furlongs of a mile i n lmin 34 3-sth sec, and finished well, while there was little difference between Missouri and Bontave at the end of five furlongs, run in lmin o l-sth sec.
