OBITUARY.
MR DAVID BOYD. The death occurred on Saturday at tho liaikoura Hospital of Mr David Boyd, son of the late Mr David Boyd, sen., at tho age of 37. Deceased was admitted to the hospital on the preceding Sunday suffering from internal trouble, and he succumbed on Saturday morning. The funeral took place 011 Sunday, a veiy largo cortege following to the Ka)koura Cemetery, where tho Her. AV. McAi'a officiated. .Mr Boyd leaves a widow and three children, two sons and a daughter. MR B. T. MISSEX. Mr Batcman Thomas Mis<en, postmaster at Taihape, died suddenly on Monday morning. The deceased, who was G2 years of age, entered the Post and Telegraph Department 35 years ago, and was a telegraph operator at Wellington, Blenheim, Christchurch, Waiau, and Asbburton before he was placed in charge of the Taihape Post and Telegraph Office. He leaves a widow and family. One of Auckland's oldest residents, Mr Thomas H. Webb, died a few days ago. Mr Webb was the second son of Mr Samuel H. Webb, who arrived in Auckland with his family in -t-hd ahip Frenchman in 1860. He was educated at St. John's College, and had many interesting recollections, of the late Bishop Selwvn. Forty years ago Mr Webb was one of the most strenuous workers of St. Matthew's Church, and many 'members of his Sunday School choir still remember his connexion with, it. In • later years Mr Webb was organist of St. Barnabas's and several other Auckland churches. One of tho oldest settlers of the Taradale district in the person or Mr Thomas Jeffares, passed away at his residence, "Perimu," Green meadow-,, on Saturday.
