CI DRAFTS LEAVE.

A QUIET SEND-OFF

Two 01 drafts from tlie Christchurch and North Canterbury districts paraded at the King Edward Barracks yesterday afternoon and left for Wellington later. There were no Seoond Division men included. There were 18 men called up for the Ohristchurch draft, and l(i paraded. There were 16 called up for the North Canterbury draft, and 14 paraded. .

In view of last week's disturbance at the Barracks the authorities stationed guards at the doora and refused admission to tho public, and a largo number of police were also posted in tho building. There was, however, a comparatively small attendance of the public, and when it was ascertained that they intended no mischief they were allowed to enter. There was similarly no demonstration when the drafts marched to tho railway station. Following are the names of the men who answered the roll call: — CHRISTCHURCH. Raymond Austin, J. D, Carney, J.
