PIONEER SPORTS CLUB.

ALTERATION' OF CONSTITUTION". Mr P. Menziea presided over a largo attendance at the adjourned special general meeting of the Pioneer Amateur Motor and Sports Club last night, -when a proposal to niter and revise the constitution of the club was considered. It was moved, acccording to notioev "Thai the constiution be altered to enable the club [ to conduct motor-cycling events for cash prizes." ; This motion was lost on being put to tho meeting, and it was moved and carried, ."Xhat the constitution be altered to enable ■ the Pioneer Club to embrace and control all branches of sport in Canterbury, and the meeting' of its members in social and recreative union." 'It was agreed that the name of the clnb should be altered to "The Pioneer Sports Club." The meeting empowered the General Com-, mitlee to take such steps aa wore necessary to give cffect to the alteration approved of j at the special general meeting. I A business committee was elected as follows:—Messrs A. Donaldson. "W. L. Hin son, AV. G. Tonks, G. B. Brown, F. R. Jones, R. T. Tosswill, W. H. Benson, B. Wallace, C. F. Thomas, 5. R. Sellers, and C. S. MoCully, with power to add. This committee was empowered to provide for and discriminate between town and country members. The meeting also recommended the General Committee, to support any financial proposals brought forward by the Business Committee. A vote of thanks to Mr R. T. Tosswill was passed, as a mark of appreciation of the good work he had done.
