WAR PRISONERS.
AGREEMENT NEGOTIATED. (By Cable.—Press Association. —Copyright.) (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) AMSTERDAM, May 3. An agreement between Franco and Germany, negotiated at Berne, provides for the internment in Switzerland of officers who have been kept prisoner for at least eighteen months, and for the repatriation of non-commissioned officers and men who have been held prisoner _for a similar length of time. It is stated that the agreement affects 2500 German officers and 120,000 other Germans. Interned civilians will be permitted to return to their previous places of residence.
