ANOTHER MINE FOUND.
A rumour was current- in the city this morning that a floating mine had been fonnd in Cook Strait (says Saturday's Wellington "Post"). Enquiry at the office of the Minister of Defence proved that a sensational -top-dressing had been nut on a basis of fact, fa'ir James Alien said that another mine had been picked up by trawlers off Capo 1 areweli; it was at a greater depth than usual. Tho mine was exploded safely by the finders.
