AN EXPLANATION.
TO THE EDITOR OF "TBK PBESS." Sir, —A little time ago I forwarded to you the copy of a resolution urging the mitigation of the treatment meted out to conscientious objectors. This resolution was mistakenly represented by me as the resolution of the Baptists of Canterbury. I should have stated that it was the resolution of an executive committee, and that it represented their opinion only. Verv great differ, ences of opinion exist among the Baptists as well as among other churches on this very intricate question.—Yours, etc., C. W. DUNCUMB, Hon Sec. Canterbury Auxiliary.
