THE DIPHTHERIA OUTBREAK.

TO THE EDITOII OV "TUB PRESS " Sir,— May I ask the Public Health authorities if they have carried out their duties in the Kaikoura district, as regards the above outbreak. I am given to understand they have disinfected several places, but not where the trouble started, which I am quite sure is necessary. I should very much like to know why this serious matter is ncglccti-d.—Yours etc., ANXIOUS.
