Rabbits. —None offering. • Frozen Meat. —A few lots of Australian lambs are selling at 10i-d; other colonial meats are not offering. SATURDAY'S POULTRY MARKET. Messrs J. B. Merrett and Co. had a large entry. There was a fair sprinkling of the new season's stock, which realised good pricey Hens arc easing off in values, but prime birds of all classes are wanted. Table chickens realised 5s Gd to 10s 3d, hens 3s Gd to 6s fid, pullets 4s to 10s, table ducklings 6s to 9s 2d, ducks 4s 6d to 7s, geeso 7s to 9s, turkeys lis to 275, all per pair. EGG MARKET. The egg supply continues good. Country store eggs are offering in large quantities at Is to Is Id a dozen. Canterbury Egg Circle first grades are in firm demand at Is 3d, and seconds at Is 2d. Prices in other centres, as in Christchurch, are the same as have hecn ruling for the past three months. TATTERS ALL'S HORSE BAZAAR,. Messrs H. Matson and Co. had an entry of 42 horses on Saturday. Practically all of the entry -were light harness horses, very few draughts offering. Among the principal sales were: Account C. Ealing, Yaldhurst, eight-year-old marc £14_, four-year-old gelding £10; F. Trenbath, Aldington, nine-year-old gelding -£7 15s; H. J. Feutz, Courtenay, aged mare £8 10s; client, six-year-old .mare £17; L. J. Searle, EUesmore, seven-year-oid gelding £15; R. J. Turton, Lakeside, eight-year-old mare £13 10s; client, six-year-old gelding £12; Early Yaldliurst, aged gelding £8; R. L. Mcaught on, Dunsandel, five-year-old mare £16. Aged hacks and draughts sold at usual rates. ASHBUTLTON. The last week has been a repetition of many past weeks as far as the grain and produce trade is concerned, there being practically no offerings by growers. Wheat —Any odd lote that come on the market are eagerly purchased at maximum Government prices, there being a number of mills bare of stocks. Oats —The market shows no alteration. Merchants are doing coastal business on a lower basis'than growers will accept, and there are still several pence difference between shipping values and for retail purposes. Chaff —The demand is much easier, and values are from 5s to 10s per ton lower for best quality, and inferior is not readily saleable. TIMARU WOOL~VALUATION. (SPECIAL TO "THE PRESS.") TIMARU, November 25. At the first wool valuation in Timaru ! for this season, the offering was a small one, very few of the best clips , being yet on the market, nevertheless, good prices were obtained, and the sale returned about £70,000 to South Canterbury wool-growers. The top price of the sale was 20Jd. which was obtained for merino combing, and for really good halfbred ewe. The range of values was as follows: — Merino combing, hogget, 18$ d, 19d, ; 19?} d. !
