HAWARDEN A. AND P. ASSOCIATION.
The committee of the Hawardei Agricultural and Pastoral Associatioi met on Friday evening, the president Mr G. Gardner, presiding over a fai: attendance. The date of the nex annual show was fixed for Friday, Marci
22nd. It was decided that it should b< a patriotic show, the profits to be devoted to the purchase of an aeroplane for the New Zealand troops at the war, any balance after that amount had beer attained to bo equally divided between the Red Oross branches, similar to last year. It was decided to hold a monstei sheep-driving competition for ladies and a small committee was appointed H meet the various committees of the lieci Cross branches at the Waipara Countj Ccuiltil's new liall on the day the hall is opened, with, a view to hearing and exchanging suggestions for the benefit of the show. Tile president's action in nominating Mr G. Gould as the Association's representative on the committee set up t£> confer with the Government in regard to tho commandeering of wool was unanimously endorsed.
