NEW SEAM OF STATE COAL.
4 (SPECIAL TO "THE PRESS.") WELLINGTON, October 26. The Minister of Mines (the Hon. W. IX S. Mac Donald) stated in the House of Representatives to-day that the State Coal Mines Department had been doing some exploration trork in the Seddonville district, and the result had been that a. fair eeam of coal had been discovered in tho Seddonville district. The surveyor was in the locality looking out a route for the transmission of the coal to the railway.
