The and enthusiastic audicnco at tho Theatre Royal last evening showed unmistakably that "Daddy ]/onj; Legs'' is an unqualified success. j At. tho end of each act t.ho members of the company were called beforo tho curtain auil given a round of applause. This play is one of tho best presented in Christohurch for some time, and tl» large audiences which have been pre«nt at each performance have lieen enthusiastic in the reception they have given i'• Tho success of tho play lies in the simple naturalness and in the splendid manner of presentation. Interpreted by tho J. C. "Williamson Company in a capable manner, the piece makes a strong appeal. Miss Kathleno MacDonell and Mr Charles Waldron, in the leading parts, are responsible for clever characterisation. "'lntolerance," was screened again at His Majesty's Theatre yesterday afternoon and evening, before crowded audiences, who, as usual, viewed tho thrilling scenes with amazement. Tho picture will bo shown again this aftcrnoou and evening, and during the remainder of tho week. OPERA HOUSE. Hie re was a largo attendance at the Opera House last evening, when the current programme was repeated. The various turns met with much appreciation, particularly tho delightful animal act of Cusko's monkeys. They arc billed as jungle comedians, and" they well merit the title. Tho Bunty Comedy Company, Murfayne, and Billy Brown all greatly pleased with their offerings The bill will bo given again this evening. Saturday's matinee should not bo missed by tho children, who all love to sco funny animals. SKATING" RINK. The Colosseum Skating llink, which has proved snch a popular placo of resort. was again well patronised at all sessions yesterday. Tho Rink will bo open again to-day and to-night, as usual for the practice of the healthful and fascinating sport.
