The Allies liavc assented to tho request of tho Greek Government to bo permitted send code messages to its agents abroad. Allied control in Grecee commences on Monday. A recent message states:—"The Government has unreservedly accoptod tho Allies' plan of control, only expressing a desire to be allowed to exchange communication in cipher with Greek representatives in neutral countries."

INTERNED INVALIDS. 290,000 IN SWITZERLAND. GENEVA, Juno 1. Among the 290,000 invalided soldiers interned in Switzerland there are 16,500 French, 7500 Germans and 1809 British. INDUSTRIAL UNREST. POSITION IN NORWAY. GENERAL STRIKE THREATENED. (Rauter'a Telegrams.) (■Received Juno 3rd, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, Juno 1. Tho latest manifestation of the general industrial unrest which prevails in most countries in Europo owing chiefly to tho dearnc6s of living, is tho announcement of a general strike throughout Norway, which will begin on Juno 6th unless certain alleged grievances aro remedied. Tho strikers' proclamation demands State control of imports, products, production, and distribution, and fixed prices. It protests against the recent big grant to the Army for defence purposes, and demands a policy of neutrality.
