REPORT OF LORD' KELBORNE'S
COMMITTEE.

The interim report by Lord Belboxne's Committee on tie increase of Homegrown Food Supplies, recommends the establishment of Wages Boards, and guaranteed minimum prices for wheat and oats. It suggests a tariff on imported' dairy produce, meat and corn, if imported manufactured goods are taxed, and the appointment of assessors empowered to supersede owners of badly-farmed land. The report declares that rabbits must b© recognised as a curse to agriculture and forestry. NATIONALISATION OF CANADA'S RAILWAYS. OTTAWA, March 25. A Board of Export Commissioners has recommended the nationalisation of Canada's trans-oontinental lines, excepting the Canadian-Pacific. They propose building up a groat system to compete with the Canadian-Pacific. THE MEAT SUPPLY. LONDON, March 25. The Government has appointed a committee under Lord I>evonport, to co-ordinate and organise Home and imported meat resources for the Array and the civil population.
