George Pegrim, Robert William Fancourt, Claude Jones, Charles Wilson. Alfred' Searles, Edward Turner, William Pineda r! Frederick Thrier, Henry Hyde, James Cooke, arid Thomas Evans, seamen employed nn tho steamer Kuahine, pleaded guilty to absenting themselves without leave. The chief engineer stated that, the men_ were ordered to commence work at 7 a.m., but failed to turn to. At about 9 a.m. they all walked ashore and bad to be arrested. On the men promising to return to the vessel and give no further trouble, they were each convicted and ordered to pay 7> coste. OBSCENE LANGUAGE. <»n a charge of having used obscene language. Frederick Thrier was convicted and fined -Os.
