COUNTY COUNCILS.
TVAIREWA
A meeting of the Waircwa County Council was held on Tuesday. Present —Messrs J. F. Buchanan (chairman), "W. F. Parkinson, T. Thompson, J. C. C. Gobbic, T. ieather, J. V. Chapman, and J. O. Coop. The Department of Agriculture wroto regarding the worst roxionis weeds in the county. It was resolved that tho following weeds were the most injurious: Califorman thistle, ragwort, jar, blackbcrry, sweet briar, and flock. . The secretary. Belgium T?eiiet Fund, wrote regarding the Belgian Children's Christmas Fund, and it was resolved that a. supply of envelopes he asked for. It was resolved that amounts Teceived for grass seed on roads be paid into the Belgian Agricultural Bcstoration I' und. • It was resolved that tendera be invit-ed for grass seed on roads, to be- sent in to tho chairman not later than the 18th inst. Mr Chapman and tho chairman were authorised to accept and consider tenders. Mr Feather proposed the motion standing in his name:—"That all funds derived from each riding of the county be expended in such Tiding," which was seconded, pro forma. Mr Thompson proposed that consideration b'! postponed till next meeting. Tho amendment was seconded by the chairman and carried.
