ELLESMERE ASSOCIATION - . Tho Ellesm-ore Bowling Association mot at | Lee3ton on Monday ovemng to make arrangements for the annual tournament, which takes place to-morrow and Saturday. Jlr J. Boag, jun., president of tho Association, presided. . Th© committeo appointed to draw up rules to govern the Association, presented a draft copy to the meeting. Tho rules were adopted. Dates of matches in tho final round of the Loudon joceter inter-club competition, were left for -a later mooting to dccide. The advisability of altering the dates of tlie tournament was discussed, but it was decided to adhere to the dates originally agreed upon. It was decided to play the singles on the sudden death principle and tho doubles on the sectional system. Green umpires were appointed as follows: —Dunsandel, Mr D. J. McCormick; Leeeton, No. 1 section, Mr F. Lill; Leeston. No. 2 section, Mr A. T, Robertson; Southbridge, Mr H. Neave. TJio draws for the singled, doubles, and champion rink competitions were prepared, and it was decided that play should start at 8.30 a.m. UNITED CLUB. The following will represent United against Edgeware on Haturday: — On Edgeware Green— Smith,, Middleton, Swallow, McKenzie (b) ; Amyefl, Pool, Garrigan, McManaway (s); Ellis, Gieig, Soper, Fruser (»); I'.
