RANGIORA SCHOOL COMMITTEE.
1 The monthly meeting of the Rangiora Borough School Committee was held last night. Present —ileesrs F. B. Lano_ (chairman), H. Boyd, T. J. Hughes, J. Marshall, S. Webber, and R. Ball. v A motion of sympathy with tho ftev. P. Fendall, whose son recently died in England, was passed. The headmaster's report showed tho roll number to be 803, and th© average attendance 260.9. Mr John McKenzie had been appointcd assistant-master. Permission vras granted, to the Australasian Students Christian movement to use the school buildings- and ground from December 28th to January Bth for the purpoeos of its annual conference. It wa& decided to hold the echool break-up on December 22nd, and to re-assemble on February sth. Tho arrangements in connexion with the breaking-up function were entrusted to the chairman and the headmaster (Mr T. "W. Ambrose).
