—•— ' ' I WAR XING TO LICENSEES. The quarterly meeting of the Rakaia Licensing Committed was held yetsterday. Present—Messrs T. A. B. Bailey, S.M. (chairman 1 !, T. Langley, T. Blackley, A. J. Magson and'A. Drummond. The police report ou all tho hotels was satisfactory. A permanent transfer of the license of tho Methven Hotel from T. Twomey to T. Aspell was granted. A note of caution was sounded by the i chairman, on behalf of the committee, i against, publicans sunplyinp: too much liquor to men in charge of trains. Tim eh airman intimated thnt anyone mthe warning would hare a black mark plaec/J him for the annual meeting.
