LADY LIVERPOOL FUND.

QUARTERLY MEETING,

Tie quarterly meeting of members, representatives from branches, etc., of the Ladv Liverpool Fund was held in the- Uity Council Library yesterday afternoon, Mrs a.. Holland presiding over a fair attendance. The quarterly report detailed operations of the past three months. The foUowmggoods had been despatched during the quarter: — 520 cases containing 17,025 parcels, 10 cases containing'warm woollen goods, 17 cases containing books 32 cases containing cake, etc., for transports. One thousand scenic postcards of Christchurch views were sent to Mks Mackenzie for distribution amongst the New Zealand soldiers in hospital. 0 Each centre forwarded a similar number. Each Christmas parcel contained a special Christmas greeting; leaflet, containing a message from her Excellency the Countess of Liverpool. These were given by the Christchurch Press Company. Mrs AVay reported that 4"6O0 pairs of socks had been received from the branches during the past quarter, while 4500 housewives and hold-alls had been forwarded to "Wellington. The treasurer reported the receipts of the past ouarter to have been £4049 8s lOd, which, with the balance previously in the bank, made a total of £5094 5s Sd, while the payments had amounted to £4185 0s 2d, leaving a credit balance ■ of £909 5s 6d.
