• SUNDAY GOLCF ZN* WELLINGTON. In tho Magistrate's Court at Wellington on Friday, before Mr It. G. Reid, S.M_, the CSty Solicitor (Mr J. o"Shea) mentioned the caee in which William Whitehead is charged with ■unlawfully playing golf on part of the Town belt on Sunday, October 29th. Mr O'Shea explained that the caee would be argued at length with a view to an appeal, and ho asked that it shomld be adjourned sine difo. It waa really an action to test the validity of the by-law passed by tho City Council in respect of the playing of Sunday golf on the municipal links.
