KAVIL LEAGUE WAR FUND.

A very successful concert was given by the children and friends of the parishioners of PhUlipstown Church of England on Thursday evening in aid of the funds of the League. Archdeacon Elisor presided, and the hall was crowded to its utmost capacity. The Mayor, Mr Holland, in opening the proceedings, gave an interesting address, on the great work of the Navy at the present juncture, and its claims to consideration. The entertainment went with a swing from start to finish, and the funds will benefit substantially from the effort. Much credit is due to tho promoters, the Misses .Williams, and the other ladies assisting them, as also to Mr Frank Williams, who all put in a deal of ttmo and trouble m making tho affair a success.
