LADY LIVERPOOL FUND.

Tho committee of the Lady Liverpool Fond acknowledge, with thanks, gifts in kind, donations, etc., from the following:— Saturday—Hedcliffs Branch (per, H. J. Yates), Cambridge Terrace Guild '(per Mis Cocker). Mrs Smith-Brie© (Fisherton), Anonymous, Mrs J. Sansom, Mrs Bush, Misa Sheard,> Miss Bureon, Mrs Stevens, Doris Oakc«. PREBBLETON. A Gift Afternoon was held in tho Prcbbleton Hall, to-help provide Christmas.presents for our boys in the tranches. A number of Indies were present. Mrs Holland, mayoress of Christchurch. motored out, and gave a very interesting address on the objects and work of the fund. An appeal was made that this very necessary work might find an interest in all present, and so assist in, cheering and helping our men 'in tho trenclica. Gifts were received from the ladies present, and consisted of 36 tins 'condensed milk, o bottles curry, 3 tins cocoa, 1 tin coffee and rrfilk, 4 tins insect powder, 3 tins tongues, 1 tin herrings, 2 packets dates, 1 cxtract meat, 3 soup tablets, 4 packets tobacco, 2 tins cigarettes and cigarette papers, 1 tin 6weets, 2 tins sardines, 1 writing pad, 1 tablet of soap, 1 pair towels. . Donations to tho fund were also .handed in amounting to £5 12s. The sum of £5 4s has also been subscribe in tho district to tic Leather Waistcoat Fund. GLENTUXNEL. The following goods hav© been 6ent by the> scholars of Gferttunne] School towards providing Christmas comforts for soldiers:—23 ting condensed milk, 4 tins cocoa. 6 boxes chocolate, 2 packets chocolate, 23 sticks chocolate, 1 packet dates, 4 pockets soup tablets. 2 tins toffee. 1 stick •shaving soap, 2 tins cheese. 1 jar bovril, 1} tin lollies, 2 bottles curry powder, 14 packets cigarettes, 18 tins cigarettes, and 1 tin sardines.
