ROBINSON'S BAT. At Robinson's Bay. on Thursday afternoon, tuo local Branch of the Red Cross commenced a sale of work in aid of tho funds. The sale wa<s continued in the evening, arid on Friday afternoon: . There wero stahs f'>r produce, sweets and cake-3, made-up work, fancy goods, and works of art. A refreshment tent was run by a bevy of "Red Cross' girls, while various' competitions helped largely to relieve sympathetic matrons of their spare silver. Brisk business was tho report of each stall-holder-m-ohief, and when th© final list is handed in the results should bo of substantial benefit to tho Fund.

EAST EYRETOK. A concert in aid of the Red Cross -was held m the Eyreton Hall on Thursday, when a splendid programme was ghwi by the Great Northern concert party, which resulted in about £20 being raised for the local Red Branch.
