In the of J'epresentatives this afternoon, Jlr Poole asked the -3.1 tcr of Defence if ho knew anything of the reported seizure of arms from iu the North. The -Minister replied that lie lmew nothing of tbo incident except that he understood that the whole story had recently been contradicted in the Auckland papers. The Hon. A. L. Herdman said some time ago orders were given to the police to take possession, of all firearms in the possession of Anstrians. The Prime Minister added that arrangements in this respect, were being made which he felt confident would bo satisfactory to the public of New Zealand.
