KAIAPOI LICENSING COMMITTEE.
-♦ The Kaiapoi District Licensing Committee met at the Kaiapoi Courthouse yesterday, when there were present: Alossi\s T- A. D. -Hi'.ilcy (chairman), J. W. Foster, C. Leech, F. Jlorrell, P. P. Mablv, and C. Etherington. The following transfers were coafirmed: —Joseph Lister to \Y. H. Kilgour, Mandeville Hotel, Kaiapoi; 17.I 7 . E. Power to J. W. Smith, Pier Hotel. Kaiapoi. The following new lircn.M'M were granted :—Herbert Collins. Harewood Arms, East Oxford; Win. H. Kilgour, MandevilJo Hotel. Kaiapoi : Charles Allington," Junction Hotel, llangiora: JaiTies "W. Smith, Pier Hotel. Kaiapoi. The following renewals were granted:—John Barry, Belfast Hotel, Belfast; R. T. Day. Royal Hotel, "Woodend ; Edward Town send, Bower Hotel. Burwood; John Manaton, Plough llangiora; George Hood, Masonic Hotel, Southbrook; John Eraser, Cust Hotel. Cust; Thaiuas C. MeGrath, Kaikanui Hotel, Kaiapo:: Frctlk. W. GlasKon, Commercial Hotel. West Oxford: George Cudl>;*, Red Eion Hotel, I?a----iigiora. The report of the police oil, the hotels of the district was satisfactory.
