THE fr'EW WAR LOAN. £•50,000,000 TO BE RAISED. (By Cable—Press Association.—Copyright.) MELBOURNE. May 31. Tto Federal Treasurer, Mr W. G. Higcs, states that the next Commonwealth "War Loan will be placed on the Australian market early in Juno. The Ministry is empowered to' borrow up to £50,000,000. It is understood that the intention of the now loan is not to fix the amount, but to take as much as £-50,000,000 if it is offered.
