Tho chairman reported that arrangements had bocn made with the Board of Control of Lancaster Park for schoolboys to play on tho- Park on Thursday afternoons. Other requests made by the cxecutivc, as to schoolboys and soldi-era in uniform beins admitted free to the stand, had been a-ccedod to. The headmaster of the West Chrwtcburch District High School wrote- that tho Secondary Department would enter a team of j players about fourteen years of age. Tlje question of starting matches in whicli tho Technical College " team was engaged e&rlisr in order to allow players to- catch tho North train was referred t-o the Competitions Committee. It was also decided that all mate lies should start at- 2.45 p.m. in future. I Mr P. T. Evans was nominated as a vioepresident of the New Zealand Rugby Union. The Albion Football Club • witote that it had no objection to G. M. Condliffe playing for the 'Varsity. CluoY _ • The Canterbury Hockey Association was granted permission to hold it 3 five-a-sido tournament on Sydenham Park on Saturday. Tho Telegraph. Club wrote asking permission for the transfer of two playere from the 1/in.wood Club. It was decided to rofer the letter to tho Pormit Committee, with power to, act. * The Star Club, Little River, wrote that it had been decided that, during the war. there should be only one club at Little River! to be known as the Lkt"? "fiver. Football Club. T'he club asked to be affiliated to the Union, and also if friendly match's. could bo arranged. It was decided to grant affiliation, and that- an endeavour would be made to arrange matchce. An application from the Lyttelton District High School to enter a team in the under 10 years of age competition was referred to the Competitions Committee. , The secretary (Mr C. W. Hcrvey) reported verbally regarding the annual meeting of tho Now Zealand Rui»by Union. A vote of. thanks was accordcd tJir> secretary arid Mr H. B. Gray, the Canterbury Union's representatives on the committer of the Now Zealand Union, for their (services. Applications frr footballs for country schools were referred to the Finance Committee. The chairman brought up the question of the age of players engaged in the different competitions, r-nd said thr.t then* waa some comment on tho subject, and the age of players was questioned in many iratAmre. On the motion of Mr C. E. McCully, r-c-e----onded by Mr W. Fuller, it waa decided that the eecretariea of all • clubs be r.sjred to furnish the ages of all their players engaged in the competitions. 1 1 Mr R. A. Blank moved, Mr L. Corbett seconded, that owing to tho misunderstanding at present existing us to the of senior playere, the age be under 21 years on January Ist, 1926. An. amendment, proposed by Mr fuller, and seconded bv Mr McCullv, that the matter b> deferred till tho- next meeting, was negatived, and the motion was agreed to.
