A garden party. in aid of the Lady Liverpool Fund wa3 held at "Gicncairn," the residence of Mrs James Henderson, near Dunsandel, on Thursday, under the auspices of the Brookside Red Cress Branch. The function was very successful in the results achieved, namely. £IG, aud gilts to the value of over £10. Mrs Henderson's grounds proved to "be ail ideal place for a garden party, and the afternoon v;es spent very pleasantly in games and competitions. The art gallery was a source of interest, and Aunt Sally and hoop-la caused a good deal of amusement. A cake given by Miss McMillan brought in a. sum of £7, and a doll given by Mr J. S. Boag and dressed by Miss Williams also brought in a gocd sum. Sweets and afternoon tea , were well patronised. During the afternoon songs were sung by Mrs F. Barnett, Messrs X. McMillan. H. Chamberlain. Henderson, and Gladys Brooks, and ifiss Myra Brook s gave a recitation.
