CANTERBURY LADIES' ASSOCIATION.
The annual meeting- of the Canterbury Ladies' Hockey Association was held last night.
The report sta-ted tluit the standard of play had improved during the year, and the season had been a successful one. Digbv'a won the 3enior championship and six-a-side tournament, and Waima:ri the junior championship ;iud .junior six-a-Ride tournament. The- lla~ley Park playing grounds were in a bad state, and representations to the Domain Board had resulted in little improvement. The- following officers were elected:—Patron, Mrs Russell Grace: president, Mrs Holland : vice-presidents, Mrs C. H. D. Turner, Mrs R. M. Loveil-Smith, Mrs Pearce. Miss Sheard, and Miss Digby; hon. treasurer, Miss M. Pearce; hon. recretary. Miss M. Day; committee, Miseee H. Thompson, J. Taylor, O. Smith, F. Walters, and Day; lion, auditor. Miss P. Clemens.
It was decided to commence practice on the first Saturday in Maj-. .
It was agreed to approach the Referees' Association with regard to supplying- referees .
