A boy named Harold Frederick Brant, Hi years of age. who lives in luncs road, St. Albans, was admitted to the hospital last night, having had tho tendons of his foot severed, He was standing watching another boy chopping wood, when the axe slipped, with the result mentioned. Ho will be operated upon this morning. Thomas MartV, a clerk in the employ of the Christchurch Meat Company. and residing at 32 Dickens street, Sydenham, was admitted to the Hospital* last night suffering from severe cuts on the face and heavy bruises caused through being thrown from wis motor-cycle, as n result of a collision with a "push" cycle near St. Peter's Church. (press association' telegram.) AUCKLAND, January 26. Edward Neal, married, aged '62, was killed on the Khyber Pass road this morning. Ho was driving an ice-van, with two horses attached, when they swerved in front of a tram which was going down the liill while another car was approaching from the opposite direction. Both cars pulled up, and both horses were then lying between the rails. Neal was thrown clear of the tram line and received injuries from which he died in tho hospital two hours later.
