SUMMER PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH. I A meeting of the committee of the Sumner Presbyterian Church wag held on Satur- i day evening, Mr J. Lang presiding over a gcod attendance. Mr J. is". Laurenson, in discussing the question of fencing tho church grounds, offered his assistance in the purchasing of the material. After discussion, it was decided to hold the matter over. The secretary* Mr M. Laurenson, reported having insured the building and contents. It waa decided to hold th e making of arrangements for. tho Sunday school anniversary. and picnic over until next meeting.. The anpual meeting of members was fixed, for the first Thursday. in February, and Miss Dalziel and Mr M., I/aurcnson were appointed a sub-com-mittee to arrange a musical programme. •Special services in connexion with the third anniversary of the Sumner Presbyterian Church were held yesterday, when there were large congregations all day. The morning service conducted "by Mr A. K. Rule, who took as his text Joshua 1., IG, "Go forward." The evening service wu s conducted by the Rev. F. Rule. Special music was provided by Miss Dalziel, Miss I;. Dearsley, Bum, Mr A. E. Rule, and Mr Muagrover Mia s Sheirard presided at the organ. LOYAL VAIMAIRI LODGE. The adjourned summoned meeting of tho Loyal Waimairi Lodge! 1.0.0. F., M.U., was held on Wednesday, N.G. Bro. Geo. Green presiding over a good atendance of members and visitors. Correspondence was received from the District Officers notifying that they would be present at the n*xt meeting to. present tho Lodge with tho dispensation. The fallowing officers were installed by P.G. Bro. C. E. T. Hill:—G.M., Bro. Geo. Green, P.D.G.M.; N.G., . Bro. H. W. Hcwinso-, V.G., Bro. E. V. Green; R.S. to X.G., Bro. P. Chick, P.G.; L.S. to N.G., Bro. J. Henery; R.S. to Y.G., Bro. 0. R. Green; L.S. to V.G., Bro. w. W. HcwSnson; Guardian, Bro. F. Harris, P.G.; Warden, Bro. E. W. Hewinson; elect, sec., Bro. J. Cawood; Lecture Master, Biro. A. G. Winter, P.G. It yras resolved to present tho retiring G.M., Bro. F. Harris, with a P.G. certificate, and' that his name' be placed on the xeepect board.
