THE PRICE OF FLOUR.
MASTER BAKERS' MOTION. (press association telegram.) NAPIER., January 14. The Nov.* Zealand United Master Bakers' Conference concluded its doliberations last night". The following motion, which is to ho- forwardccl to tho Premier, was carried: —"The New Zealand Master Bakers' Association Conference regrets that the Government reimposed the duty on flour, and in so doing did not determine the pricc of wheat, thus allowing- the market price to. be inflated by the farmers and speculators. Since the reimppiSition of tho duty, flour has frequently advanced to tho extent of £2 in fivo weeks. Tho Conference, therefore, strongly urges the Government to remove the duty and fix tho price of wheat for the incoming season within reasonable limits in order thu-* flour may not be sold at exorbitant prices." -
