Cargill rejoined the Manuka at Lyttelton yesterday as chief engineer, and Mr McCaig, who has been relieving him, ■frill prooeed to Dunedin for orders. Mr W. B. Hirst, third engineer of the same Teasel, came ashore yesterday to go on to Dunedin, where he will join the Aparima as second engineer. Jffir R. J. Mentiplay joined the Manuka as third engineer.

The Wakatu was taken off the Lyttelton patent slip yesterday morning, and sailed in the evening for Wellington, via Kaikoufa.
