The Mayoress desires also to specially thank the ladiea of too Sumner branch of the Liverpool Fund, through who— efforts, us tho result of a -Sock Afternoon, 306 pairs of socks and. a cash donation cf Xlo resulted. With regard to Lady Liverpool's- appeal for handkerchiefs, we havo been asked to •point out that dark coloured handkerchiefs only arc suitable, no whito ones being required. In reference to tbe appeal made for dried fruits and cako for the Expeditionary Force, tho Mayoress wishe-s to impress upon donors the urgent necessity of sending in their donations to the Lady Liverpool Depot, 121 Lichfield street, on an early date next week.
