SERGEANT-MAJOR CONVICTED OF THEFT.
(Received May 26th, 11.40 p.m.) SYDNEY. May 26. Sergeant-Major Poole was convicted on two charges of stealing goods aud ammunition from th© Defence Department, and sentenced to two years' hard labour. The cases of the other accused were held over.
