REQUISITIONED.
LONDON. April 30. The Government has requisitioned tho insulated space in all British vessels trading to South America. SATURDAY'S POULTRY MARKET. Messrs J. B. Merrett and Co. had a large entry of ixwltry, with prices firm. Tnblo chickens realised 4s 6d to 8s 2d, ducklings 4s to Ts 12d, ducks 3s to ss, pullets 3s to Bs, hens Is 6d to 4s, seeso 6s to 7s, turkeys 7s to 225, aud breeding cockerels 20s per pair. ■ Messrs A. B. Sands- and CJo. had a good entry at their, yards, when primo birds realised good money, hens being on a par with last week's prices. Following were tho prices realised:-— Prime table chickens 3s 6d to 8s 4d pc pair, hens 2s to 3s 5d 3 ducks 3s 9d to 6a, geese 6s to 7fe Ud, turkeys (gobblers) 16s io 203, turkeys (liens) 8s 6d to 14s.
