THE COAL CRISIS.
NEGOTIATIONS FAIL. LONDON, May 1. Negotiations regarding the coat crisis have broken do-wn, and it is feared that only immediate Government action "will prevent a striko. The Miners' conference unanimously rejected the employers' offer of an immediato increase, and dacided to leave the claim for twenty per cent, entirely with Mr Ascraith for his decision.
