ANOTHER. DANGEROUSLY WOUNDED. irRESS ASSOCIATION - TELEGRAM.) DUNEDIN, May 2. The Hon. James Allen lias received a cable message from Alexandria informing him that Lieutenant Frater, of the Auckland Division, died on April 30th from -wounds received on a hirod transport. Lieutenant Frater, who was about 33 years of age, was the son of a wellknown Auckland sharebroker. WELLINGTON, May 1. Tho 'Defence authorities to-day received a cablo message from Colonel A. H. Russell, Commander of tho Mounted Rifles Brigade of the New Zealand Expeditionary Force, reporting the following casualties: — Captain Alfred Ernest McDonald, 16th (Waikato) Company, Auckland In. fantry Battalion, dangerously wounded shoulder and chest. Major W. Alderman, an Australian officer on loan to the Now Zealand Kxpeditionary Force, severely wounded, right arm, compound fracture. Colonel Russell's messago advised that both casualties occurred on tho hired transport Lutzow on April 26th, but did not mention tho locality. Presumably they occurrod while tho Lutzow was landing troops uiider fire in the Dardanelles. Captain McDonald's wife, Mrs Phcebo McDonald, resides at Frankton. These are the only casualties to the Now Zealand Expeditionary Fore© of ■which the authorities have been advised up to tho present. Information as to further casualties will be immediately, announced when received.
