(PRESS ASSOCIATION telegram.) • LEVIN. November 2S. Last night Mr W. H. Field, Government candidate for Otnki, addressed a crowded meeting and was given a good hearing, with .some interruption. Ho spoke in favour of the Masscy programme, and said the Government, hail done well and redeemed a number of its pledges in spite of difficulties. Ho defended its action in connexion with the strike, declared himself in favour ot nationalisation of hospitals, not in favour of local option but a supporter of the 55 per cent. majority on the National Prohibition issue. A vote of thanks was carried—the candidate declined one of confidence —and the meeting closed with cheers and conn tor-cheers" for «Mr Robertson.
