We captured Brzcziny and other villages in the 31ooga Valley by bayonet attacks. Cavalry charged tho retreating enemy and captured guns and many prisoners. Our position on tho whole of tbe Warta-Visttila front is favourable. "Our success on the CzeuA.ochowaCracow line is of marked importance. We have caputred over four thousand
Gormans. Tho Pussians forded the Raba neck deep amid rusing iceflows. and carried a strongly-for yfied position. Wo carried 80--hn in against desperate resistance, capturinit two thousand men, also ten guns, and a number of machine-guns. Tho enemy's retreat is disorderly near Cracow." PETROGRAD. Nov. •_*-. (evening.. An official statement __iy:.: "The Russians won a decisive success on the I'ro.zowice-Brozesko-l-ochaia - Wisiricz front (e_«t of Cracow) en Thursday. They routed the enemy, and captured seven thousand prisoners, thirty guns. of which ten had complete teams, ami twenty machine-guns. A Russian battalion captured the commander, twenty officers. 12..0 men, and colours, the remnants of the Thirty-first. Honved Regiment, at Brzo.sko, also a motor-car with 'several members of the General Staff. 3Vo- are energetically pursuing tiie enemy. "We progressed at certain points at Lodz, and are attacking important forces in the Carpathians."
