WAHINE IN DOCK.
Tho turbine ferry steamer Wahine was placed in the Lyttelton dry dock yesterday morning for overhaul, it being now almost twelvo months since.ho commenced to run in the inter-island service. Ttus principal work to be done is cleaning and painting, and a, few iooeo rivets in the rolling chocka and other parts of .he vesael will require to be tightened up. The .Wahine will be floated out of tho dock to-morrow, and will resume her running to-morrow evening, leaving Lyttelton at tho usual time for Wellington. Last night ttte big intercolonial etoamer Maunganui, en route to Sydney, acted as tho ferry steamer to ngton, and to-night tho Maitai, from Auckland to Dunedin, will run as a ferry steamer to Lyttelton. As it has been decided to detain the Warrimoo at Lyttelton till Monday on her trip from Dunedin to Auckland, via East Coast ports, thero will bo no late steamer for Wellington to-morrow night.
